About GEOSIMAC

GEOSIMAC is a Bilingual University Centre of Canadian orientation offering professional training and professional programmes in humanitarian assistance (Aid), development, management, environment, mining exploitation, public health, hospitality, geomatics (GIS), Information and Communication Technology (ICT) etc. to the public, private sector and governments (municipalities). GEOSIMAC Head Office is located in Mile Four Limbe, South West Region, Cameroon and has planned operations in Cameroon, Burundi and Mali.

Mission

GEOSIMAC’s mission is to build and strengthen the capacity of aspiring leaders, students, graduates, professionals, business executives, media practitioners, service providers and individuals in the public, private sector and governments through the offering of credible professional training and professional programmes with an invaluable road map to successfully manage today’s businesses in governments, research, humanitarian and development organizations and the private sector.

Consulting Services

GEOSIMAC will also provide consulting services in humanitarian and development research, innovative spatial information management (GIS); supply chain or logistics management; program design, monitoring and evaluation; mobile and remote Sensing techniques based on internationally recognized quality management practices that will add value to humanitarian and development non-governmental organizations (NGOs)’ operations and performances.

Training Programs

Training programs will be offered during weekends and week days – Mondays to Fridays – from 6pm to 9pm. Online registration, training and facilities shall be provided for trainees willing to undertake certification examinations in project management and geographic information systems (3-6 months).

Training programs will be offered after normal working hours, from 6-9pm, Mondays to Fridays and on Saturdays to accommodate the needs of those with formal employments. Online registration, training and facilities shall be provided for trainees willing to undertake certification examinations in project management and geographic information systems (3-6 months).

Jackson ACHA ATAM

Jackson ACHA ATAM

Jackson is the founder and president of Geospatial Information and Management Center (Geosimac) International. He holds a Master’s Degree in Agricultural Sciences (Agronomy) from the Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University of Copenhagen, Denmark; a Postgraduate Certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), from Lindsay College, Ontario, Canada; a Bachelor Degree in Life Sciences (Microbiology) from the University of Buea, Cameroon. Jackson was a PhD Candidate in Geomatics (GIS Application) Sciences, with University of Sherbrooke, Quebec (Canada) and currently a PhD Student of the Rural Studies Program at the School of Environmental Design and Rural Development (SEDRD), with the University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada

Macalister Usongo

Macalister is currently serving as the Senior Programs Manager over all Samaritan’s Purse Health and WASH programming in the DRC. In 2019/2020, he led the development, provided leadership and oversight in the implementation of a 9.7-million-dollar USAID funded Ebola crisis response program in Ituri province of the DRC and served as key representative for Samaritan’s Purse Ebola response in Ituri. Macalister U. has worked in several support roles as well as in response programming in emergency and development projects in Tanzania, Haiti and the DRC.

Gerald Esambe Njume

Gerald Esambe Njume

Gerald Esambe is a sustainable development and climate change expert with over 10 years of experience with the African Development Bank, Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), The Humanitarian Water and Food Award Foundation, Danish Development Researchers Network and Keeling Curve Prize (KCP) — A Global Warming Mitigation Project. 

Gerald currently works as a Senior Climate Change and Green Growth Officer at the African Development Bank. As Senior Climate Change and Green Growth Officer, Gerald is leading efforts to facilitate Africa private sector and SMEs participation in green investment in Africa. Through his effort, Gerald has successfully mobilized USD 1million from the African Private Sector Assistance Fund (FAPA) to support Africa private sector and SMEs participation in climate-related investments and support NDCs implementation in Africa.

Ntui Ebob Ojong Michelline

Micheline is a steadfast, committed and passionate Agricultural engineer and /or Agroforestry expert with 7 years relevant working experience. She currently works with Barry Callebaut as the Certification Program coordinator, and have a proven
track record of meeting and surpassing targets. Micheline is an intuitive and detail oriented, creative and readily uncovers innovations linked to her Job. Micheline’s mission is to unlock the potentials of nature to improve the quality of life, by applying advancements in research and technology in agriculture as a key to sustainable global growth and thereby making the world a better place.
